Oh Dear

Whatever you do , do not waste good money going to see, "The Dictator".It is puerile rubbish. I have seen funnier, more original, Carry-Onfilms. It will only appeal to you if you are a racist, sexist, Americanor under 12 and think poo and willy jokes are funny. Which is Ironic asunder 16s are not allowed to see it..I cannot believe the jokes in this movie actually cleared some kind ofproduction process. If you stuck 5 monkeys in a room and said they hadtwo hours to come up with a comic movie about a Dictator, their jokeswould have been far more original and less obvious.I am stunned that this is getting 7 + stars on IMDb. My vote, 5, isgenerous and even then it's in acknowledgement that some people, likeCarry On Fans, have a soft spot for this rubbish. But I think even SidJames would have passed on this tosh.

Awful.

It is clear from the beginning that Sasha baron Cohen is simply a onetrick pony. Like many other comedians, he simply relies too much onshock humor and not on humor that is actually funny. It is hard to makea comedy, because you don't know what makes people laugh, but making arude, vulgar comedy is even harder. If you're not witty, you and yourfilm just end up looking pathetic, which is unfortunately the casehere. This Sasha guy simply cannot tell a joke. Have we become so dumbdown as a civilization that it takes a thousand fart and male packagejokes to make people laugh? I'm all for slapstick comedy. The moreextreme and wild it is, the better. But directors and screenwritersneed to realize the difference between what is funny and what isn't. Ifyou want to hit someone's funny bone, it takes more then just sex jokesand people doing crude things to do it. At least bring intelligence toyour jokes and don't rely on idiotic stereotypes.Seriously, isn'tmaking fun of terrorists and evil leaders a little played out by now? This Sasha guy needs to look up the word, "subtlety" before he goes andmakes another one of these stupid films again.

eehhh.....

Well, it gets credit for being the most politically incorrect movie Ihave ever seen, but is that a good thing? It is funny, but it also makes you feel a bit uneasy and guilty forlaughing at it. Honestly, some of the things said were simply shocking. If it wasn't a film and you heard someone say those jokes in publicthey would most certainly receive a slap to the face. The movie it's self isn't terrible. It has a pretty typical story thatis made fresh with some interesting characters and a few recognizablecameo appearances. To sum The Dictator up - if you have ever wondered weather or not youhave a soul, see this film. If some of the jokes make you feel uneasy -then congrats you have a soul after all.

Not for all, but hopefully most.

This time, instead of making a mockumentary, our beloved "BorДt" made acomeback to the screens with a new, entirely fictional film. Politicalsatire, absolutely bad taste, vulgar, and childish slapstick humor. If you liked even a little bit his earlier works (Borat & Brüno), thisyou have to see. This film has a new style compared to his earlierworks, and definitely is not your typical cheesy, dramatized, AdamSandler type of comedy.I admit, that it not might be for all viewers. If you like black/adulthumor, go for it!I give it a good eight out of ten.

Okay, probably good if you like Cohen

I must say, this wasn't my favorite. There were some funny parts, butoverall, I just don't like Sacha Baron Cohen. Just about all of thismovie's supposed funny parts was more like, "What the f*** is hedoing?" Hell, the best part of this entire movie was the 5 minutes withJohn C. Reilly. His very first dialogue was funny as f***! There weresome parts, the child birth for example, that were just..., completelyunappealing to me. It wasn't the believability, I expected very stupids*** with this movie, but come on..., I don't know what it was, it justwasn't funny. Of the 83 minutes, there was about 10 of it that evenmade me crack a smile. John C. Reilly's appearance and part of Cohen'sfinal speech at the U.N. The rest of it was just boring and..., notreally disgusting or gross, but more like..., in bad taste.

Very funny, very clever

On one level, this film is extremely funny slapstick, but it's veryclever too. For me one of the funniest bits was when Aladeen hangs on awire above the streets of New York and gets rid of a health drink whichhe says has as much potassium as three bananas and then he gets ridthree bananas from another pocket, in case the drink didn't work. Healso voids himself of his pooh (he's been a bit constipated) to makehimself lighter. Of course it lands on someone's head. Aladeen listsmany of the 'advantages' of having a dictatorship in his speech to theUnited Nations. Some of his arguments, I noticed particularly the pointabout allowing banks to gamble with people's money and having theprisons mostly populated by one ethnic group are actually features ofcertain western democracies. I was laughing all the way through thisspeech! It's a laugh out loud film, although some of Aladeen's apparentexploits as a dictator, talked about, not demonstrated, were a littlebit too near the knuckle for me. I particularly loved the way he madeup names for himself out of notices and the way he took over therunning of the shop. The whole film is clever and i probably need tosee it more than once to appreciate all of it.

Enjoyable

You know what to expect when you see Baron Cohen as the lead actor:well developed, quirky characters, and an absurd sense of humour. Thisis the case here for The Dictator, which is that time not amockumentary but a "classic" scripted movie. The plot unfolds pretty smoothly; the movie is dense and very dynamicoverall without overlong passages thanks to an appropriate duration(~1h30).The humour is noticeable and spot on, like Aladeen's speech ondemocracy. All in all, Baron Cohen did a great job as always in creating unique, innovative universe and characters.

once again a great satire

Sacha Baron Cohen does it again, movies from this guy are not normalslap- stick or vulgar comedy but are kind of black comedies and anyonewatching them should keep this in mind and should not take any offence.Black comedies are movies made in serious tone but having characterswith characteristics and thoughts not commonly acceptable in society, these movies add elements of humour through satire. Though Baron takesthis genre and creates a new genre by adding some vulgarity and openlyunacceptable dialogues but essentially he satirizes these social evilsand mocks them in these movies. If someone is laughing at thecharacters of his movies then also he succeeds because all thesecharacters are shown as stupid and funny, if someone wants to takeoffence then also its fine you are already a good guy.In Borat he mocks jew-phobia, George Bush and his wars, gynophobia andsense of cultural superiority in Americans and in Bruno he mocks thehostility of the society towards homo-sexuals. In The Dictator again heis not celebrating racism or dictatorship but he is mocking them. TheDictator will come second only to Borat in these kind of satiricalmovies.

Goes for the crude laugh but forgets to be inventive or funny

I hadn't heard much good about The Dictator and I hadn't thought muchof Bruno but I decided to give this a try since perhaps it wouldproduce some laughs. The basic idea is solid and as a character pokingat dictators around the world it holds the potential to be funnybecause these people are generally ripe for satire and it is usuallyeasier to laugh at them than the alternative. So, with this as the baseone has to wonder why the film is unable to do anything smart orparticularly funny with it. There are some nice laughs and individualgags which are funny because they are out of nowhere, but mostly thecharacter is used for sexual material and crudity. This isn't to say that I didn't laugh at some of it becauseoccasionally it did come up with creative crudity, but mostly it justfeels tired and rather embarrassing due to how very basic so much of itis. With such potential it is a real shame and it is only made worsethat when the comedy does do satire, it is obvious and badly delivered(the speech about what the US would be like if it were a dictatorshipis a good example). Most of the material is excessive and in such poortaste that it is hard to go with it. As the performer Cohen at leastputs his all into it and his performance is pretty good, but as awriter he really must shoulder some blame for how little he has to workwith and his solid turn is wasted by himself. The various cameos fromfamous faces are generally pretty good but Faris has a thankless taskof trying to make her plot device character work, while Kingsley lookslike he wishes someone would have offered him Thunderbirds 2 instead ofthis. It has its moments but they are really few and far between becausemostly the film is crude, childish and really lacking in laughs andinvention. Whether they fit with the plot or not, base jokes are thrownin for the sake of it (the pregnancy in the store) and almost none ofthem actually work. Perhaps this type of joke has run its course butregardless the reason, The Dictator is far too basic and produces sofew laughs in 100 minutes that it isn't worth the time.

Scripted Cohen is a miss

Cohen has lost it. I used to like the guy in the days of his TV Borat. His variouspersonas are of course ridiculous, but you laughed because the peopleand dumbfounded reactions seemed genuine, the situations real andexposed prejudice that you know to exist in the real world. But it hadto seem like he was sketching as he went, exploiting ordinaryfoolishness. With each new movie, he has diluted this. Borat partially managed thespontaneity, but only in spots. Bruno messed this, because he washimself coarse and homophobic there, and despite the faux documentaryformat, you could no longer kid yourself that it simply happened. This is a straight-up movie, closer to his Ali G. There is a romanticinvolvement. But very few of it works, at least in that spontaneous vein that sethim apart from Sandler and like comedians. It's not funny if it'sscripted.

Funny at times

Ever since the Phantom Menace I've always been very wary of films whichhave a great trailer. The trailer for "The Dictator" was very funny, but in common with other comedies you always have a nagging feelingthat the best gags may have been included in the trailer. This was thecase with "The Dictator", but there are some other funny moments tolook forward to as well.As with most of Sacha Baron Cohen's films much of the comedy tests thelines of good taste. The plot is fairly straightforward and follows theattempted overthrow of a dictator. It's a very easy watch and you always know that the parts which dragwill soon be followed with something that's funny. It isn't for thefaint hearted though, so if you are easily offended you should steerclear of this.

A Self-Obsessed Dictator Gets Kidnapped and Loses His Identity in New York

Sasha Baron Cohen's The Dictator is a movie about a self-obsesseddictator that goes to New York to hold a speech. However, he iscaptured and loses his identity. He is then replaced by a dumblook-alike that is going to announce democracy for his country. Thedictator now has to get back his identity, but at the same time blendin with the American society. Now I came into The Dictator with skepticism. I thought the trailerswere funny, but I also felt that they showed all the best jokes. Butafter watching the film, I can honestly say that it doesn't. There arestill plenty of jokes in The Dictator that are not shown in thetrailers. Honestly, this is one of the funniest movies of all time, almost as good as Borat. I was afraid that making it a real scriptedmovie and not a mockumentary improv film would ruin it, but it turnedout well. The characters are good and the humor is hilarious. I mean, Ilaughed all the time, and I wasn't the only one either. Everyone seemedto enjoy this film. There might be a few flaws with the film. There is one scene where awoman is giving birth, and it just didn't work for me. I thought it wasdumb and a bit nasty. Also, the last 20 minutes of it aren't as good ofas the rest of the film. Still good, but not as great.Overall, The Dictator is an awesome movie that will most likely makeyou laugh! Sasha Baron Cohen did a great job with this one! Will itblow you away like Borat? No. Will it entertain you like Borat? Yup!Applaus!

Could be better

This movie was really funny. My friends suggested to watch this movie to me.But I think this moviewas not very successful. Because there was not many action in themovie. But I liked market scenes.I laughed very much at starting of movie. I thought "it will be morefunny in next scenes", but movie failed me. In my opinion remaining ofmovie is bad.Actor doesn't like democracy and he is a dictator really. If there hadbeen more intrigue in the movie, It would have been more interesting.Thats why I give 6 out of 10.

Cohen is a Funny Man

Sascha Baron Cohen is a comic genius. Borat is the funniest movie thatI have ever seen. It offends everyone; much like Cohen's mentor, HowardStern. They share the no sacred cows and take no prisoners approach tocomedy which is the way it should be. The Dictator continues in thesame vein; and though not as consistent as Borat, I still laughed outloud several times over the course of the film.Cohen plays a Northern African leader with a ridiculous beard and sillyuniform with medals on the front. He is about to be attacked by theU.S. for developing nuclear weapons, and so he travels to the U.N. inNew York to make a speech. He is abducted and a simple minded double issent to sign a constitution making the country a democracy. The realleader loses his beard and blends into Brooklyn easily. A perfectchoice of location for reality's sake. He meets a feminist health foodstore owner, well played by Anna Faris, and she and Cohen have anatural chemistry on screen. The absurdity of the story is charming, with enough sarcasm and wit to make it well worth watching.

Not Borat.

"I'm not a dictator. It's just that I have a grumpy face." AugustoPinochetMoving on from his subversively funny mockumentaries Borat and Bruno,Sacha Baron Cohen takes his anarchic wit into the narrative form calledThe Dictator with less spectacular results. His General Admiral Aladeen from the North African nation Wadiya takesheroic action to prevent democracy from being established in hiscountry. Why you might ask? Because in the US, the one percent tyrantsand their oil tycoon accomplices have shown that democracy is a biggertyranny than any leader could impose. In addition to the barbs aimed at the US, Baron Cohen has fun withthings scatological and sexual—alleged sex with Meghan Fox, KimKardashian, Lindsay Lohan, and Arnold is amusing if not fantastical. The extended joke with a bodiless head is dragged out a bit too muchbut just irreverent enough to be worth noting. Sliding on a cable to ahotel room has a silent movie feel to it as does the obvious similarityto the Marx Brothers Duck soup with a similarly hapless Groucho asdictator Rufus T. Firefly. However, there are fewer laughs than in previous outings as theraunchy, basically gross material now seems tired after Judd Apatow andhis Hangover franchise has taken that terrain. Baron Cohen doesn't rulethere anymore.

Political Farce Aspires to Cohen's Borat!

Review by: Daniel BerkowitzThere is a recurring joke in "The Dictator" where every time theAdmiral General Aladeen (Sacha Baron Cohen) gets even the slightest bitannoyed with someone he motions to one of his guards with an off withtheir heads signal to kill them. It's a funny sight gag when usedappropriately, and after finding out all of his victims are alive andwell, it serves to ram home the idea that Aladeen is a brutal andincompetent leader of the fictitious North African nation The Republicof Wadiya. Another long-running joke in the film is that GeneralAladeen not only took over his nation's language, changing words like"positive" and "negative" to "Aladeen" buts is also a star in manyWadiyan films such as "You've Got Mail Bomb", and "Planet of theRapes".The film opens in a mockumentary style with news footage explaining the"nuclear threat in Wadiya" with the General Aladeen's restriction toallow other countries to view his nuclear arms. We later learn that the39-year-old "Supreme Leader" is working feverishly to build a massivemissile, preferably with a "pointy tip". His plan is soon placedon-hold when he is kidnapped during a visit to New York City. Forced toblend-in with American commoners, Aladeen turns his attention tore-establishing his identity and over-ruling the biggest threat of allto his dictatorship in Wadiya - a democratic government that will allowother countries to profit off of the Wadiyan oil.In "The Dictator" rarely are the jokes executed appropriately. And in afilm where the plot is so basic, the comedy is really all we have tohold onto. This marking his fourth character parody film, Cohen has asolid supporting cast in Ben Kingsley who plays his back-stabbingright-hand man Tamir, John C. Reilly whose kidnap attempt goes array,Anna Faris as Aladeen's grocery store boss, and even a comical cameofrom comedian Gary Shandling as a Health Inspector. Other hystericalroles came from J.B. Smoove in an unforgettable funeral scene, and"MADtv" comedian Bobby Lee, as a Chinese United Nations Diplomatdisplaying questionable morals. Given its subject matter, "TheDictator" has the opportunity to provide scathing satire. Sadly, however, something the film never truly takes advantage of.The film never makes good use of Kingsley, even though Faris gives asolid performance. For argument's sake, any competent actor could havetaken on Kingsley's role and done as fine a job. Aside from his role asthe main facilitator of transforming Wadiya from a dictatorship to ademocracy, his on screen time is so limited, and his character so flatthat his presence is almost unnoticeable.Enduring to the character of Aladeen is his obsession with pop-culturaland longing to be loved by everyone all the time. When they don't, hebeds enough celebrities to fill a wall covered with Polaroids of them.Like any dictator, he has an inflated sense of self. More important, though, the times when Cohen seems ready to inject his script withexpert satire fizzle out into nothing more than frivolous "Family Guy"-style conversations and gags bordering on absurdity. Yes, "TheDictator" is a comedy and yes, from the outset it is made clear thatthe film does not take itself too seriously. But, this should notpreclude it from giving us capable satire or even smart comedy. In one scene, Aladeen, down on his luck with no hope in sight, standson the edge of a bridge, moments away from taking his own life. Whenhis new ally and ex-head of his nuclear weapon department, Nadal comesover to convince him not to jump, the conversation heads into a themdiscussing the fact that Aladeen is wearing Crocs. It's unfair to saythis is inappropriate, but it is fair to say it is pointless. It's anirrelevant, and from a plot standpoint, utterly unnecessaryconversation in which the only conceivable purpose is to provide cheaplaughs. And that's really what "The Dictator" is: a series of gags and goofsdesigned, not so subtly, to illicit laughs every ten seconds. Often thefilm succeeds- when it's funny, it's funny- but more often it does not.As well, it could have been so much more. Where jokes are overused, there could have been restraint. Where dialogue seems forced andcontrived, it could have been organic and free flowing. Whereopportunities for satire are missed, they could have been betterexecuted or even included. At the end of the film, Aladeen delivers a minute-long speech pointingout the differences between democracies and dictatorships. It's anintelligent argument, but falls flat. It's not in keeping with the toneof the film, and it comes out of a corner so alien that it's almostunwelcome.Cohen's first American film release "Borat" (before that, "Ali G" inthe U.K.) was nothing more short of brilliant and given that hissecond, "Bruno" was disappointing, it's unfortunate that he fails toright the ship this time around even after numerous test screenings inLos Angeles and Paramount Pictures delaying the film's release dateoriginally from May 11 to May 16. "The Dictator", succeeds in providingsome solid laughs and gags.- HollywoodJunket.com

Borat and Bruno's Love Child!

If Borat and Bruno, using Ali G as a surrogate mother, ever had achild, well it would look like General Aladeen...Perhaps in an homage to Charlie Chaplin's masterpiece "The GreatDictator", Sacha Barron Cohen's "The Dictator" is an updated spoof onsome of today's most infamous characters, not the least of which is therecently deceased Mohammar Qadafi, upon which Admiral Aladeen (notAladdin of the genie in the lamp fame...LOL) is clearly based. The opening sequence pays (jokingly of course) tribute to North Korea'salso recently deceased Dear Leader, Kim Jong Il, or Lil' Kim as he isaffectionately called...This pretty much tells you right off the batwhat kind of a movie you are in for.If you have a weak stomach, are easily offended or are an anallyretentive person plus a stickler for political correctness then I'd sitthis one out, because this movie is not for you.Oddly enough "The Dictator" is tamer when compared with Cohen's formerincarnations "Borat" and "Bruno". This movie has little to noimprovised bits, it is a fully scripted and more formulaic movie thanits two predecessors. The movie is short enough, and good at that, because any longer and itwould have felt like on overly long sketch on "The Ali G Show"...orworse yet like one of the weekly failed "Saturday Night Live" shows!"The Dictator" is a so-so comedy, playing at times as social satire andat others as gross-out comedy all stuffed into one pretty neat package. It definitely has its funny bits and highlights, but if I had tosituate it in Cohen's universe, I would put it below "Borat" and above"Bruno".

worst comedy ever? Could be...

Absolute garbage. Not since The Pest have seen a comedy THIS bad...ohsure, Pink Panther 2 was horrible but this takes it to a whole newlevel. Cohen should not be allowed to make another movie and Farris andKinglsey need to have their heads examined. It simply not funny, racist, offensive and filled with flat jokes. You can see the jokescoming a mile away and everyone is as lame as you imagined. It's funnyhow most critics would say Mel Brooks fell off with his last 4 films(Spaceballs, life stinks, Robin hood and Dracula) and the box officereceipts might agree with them (although I never have. All of thosefilms have merit in some ways) but THIS - THIS IS HOW YOU FALL OFF.It's absolute SHITE.

The Dictator

The Dictator is the new comedy starring and co-written by Sacha BaronCohen of Borat and Bruno fame. This film unlike Borat, or Bruno is notfilmed, or written as a documentary. To say that it is scripted whereasBorat, or Bruno were not, would be a lie seeing as although there was alot of spur of the moment and unplanned events, as a lot of it wasplanned and written in the form of a script even though it didn'talways feel that way with the first two films. Cohen's comedies reallyseem to be hit and miss for people mostly for fairly obvious reasons.Borat, was extremely well received and is probably still the best ofthe three films and it earned Sacha a Golden Globe Award as well asbeing nominated for an Adapted Screenplay Academy Award. Bruno, Ithought was very enjoyable, but it got nowhere near the acclaim, oraffection that Borat did. Now we come to The Dictator, which has gottenmixed, but mostly favorable reviews. In this new film like his previousoutings, Cohen plays a larger than life character where he completelyinhabit's the role and a lot of the humour relies on what most peoplewould consider very offensive remarks and humour. The film's humour tosome, would seem racist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynistic and thelist goes on and on. I think however, like his previous two filmscollaborating again with director Larry Charles, that their intentionand basically the point of the film, if you can call it that, is toshow these types of racism, or intolerance to make people more aware ofit in general and perhaps have a laugh about it while watching thefilm, but at the same time, feeling a little guilty and ashamed atourselves for doing so. I think the message is clear that Cohen, istrying to shed light on these issues and show just how foolish, oroffensive someone could look like, or sound behaving, or acting in thistype of way and again to make it more of a highlighted issue, so afterthe film audiences could talk about it and in some ways be informedabout it a little more. There is certainly a message and method toCohen's madness. Putting that aside, a lot of you are probablywondering if the film is any good, or most importantly, is it funny? Myanswer to that would be, yes. There were times during the film thatsome jokes did fall flat and just did not work due to poor comictiming, delivery and writing, but more often than not, a lot of thematerial here does work very well and provides a very entertaining timeat the theatre. Cohen, like in his previous roles seems to have a blastplaying this larger than life character and like the other films, hedoes a very good job of it. Using humour that to some would beambiguous, or complicated to those not familiar with daily politics andworld issues, there is still a lot that would make them laugh, particularly the more crude and scatological type of jokes. However, Iparticularly found the satirization of foreign policies to evenpolicies of my neighbors in America, to be sharp edged, focused andwell played out and written. The more offensive humour is still reallyfunny as well, but in a different kind of way, but to the majority ofpeople, that would be what they are going to see in this film andperhaps miss a lot of the more intelligent humour. I like Cohen'sstorytelling and his performance and what he is trying to say to theaudience with this and his other films. There is a dark side to some ofthe humour, but especially with this film, I also found there to be avery likable, playful, and dare I say even sweet side to it. There is arelationship that grows out of the film and I think it plays out verywell and is in the end both funny and adorable. The Dictator works asan extremely entertaining and hilarious comedy and also works as asatire and voice to shout out to the world the attitudes andintolerances of people that really do need to change if we ever want togo anywhere in life, whether it be a democratic nation, or not and forhis message and the brilliant and hilarious way he goes about doing it,The Dictator is another winner for Cohen and company.

The Dictator

It's Euro-Cup time now, so there is a famine in the cinemas, maybe oneshould not go to cinema twice a week these days (I have already watchedPROMETHEUS 2012), the only possibilities are this one or SNOW WHITE ANDTHE HUNTSMAN (2012), so hectoring by the latter's horrid reviews, asatire comedy sounds like a more safe choice between these two.Deceiving by its trailer, and Instead of being a political satire, thefilm is no more than a crass sketch comedy, with a plentiful supply ofself-conscious jokes about masturbation, human excrement, racism, sexism, gay culture, terrorism, a mixed-bag of all the possiblesought-after topics. But how is the effect?Though in my memories, I didn't perceive BORAT! (2006, a 5/10) as adeserving accomplishment, but by comparison, THE DICTATOR even has lessvirtue and has no difference with other annually cranked-out Hollywoodtrashy comedies, which more or less are able to generate some laughtersbut one would never give a second-thought after leaving the cinema, lest feel repellent even thinking about the source material or simplyerase it from the memory. THE DICTATOR marked the third time Sacha Baron Cohen and director LarryCharles work in unison (after BORAT! and BRUNO 2009, which I skipped),but the pith of it is all in its trailer, I wonder, when will Hollywoodever deliver another comedy without meddling too much with filthiness, sometimes audience needs to be innovated instead of being pondered to. About the cast, I don't want to complain what on earth Kinsley orReilly is doing here, but my sympathy is completely all over AnnaFaris, takes a tomboy coiffure, while is doing what has stereotyped herthrough her whole career and she is fairly adequate even though thescript hardly takes any effort to be logical or tolerable, perhaps Iwould enjoy more with any episode of Saturday NIGHT LIVE. trashy comedies, which more or less are able to generate some laughtersbut one would never give a second-thought after leaving the cinema, lest feel repellent even thinking about the source material or simplyerase it from the memory. Dictator: Manages to make all the rules; The Dictator: Manages to make laugh... a lot!

The Dictator is the movie of the year. I loved it, I was highlyentertained and I laughed countless times. The Dictator is offensiveand politically incorrect, but well, The Dictator is a masterpiece, TheDictator is a brilliant movie. This movie makes you laugh, but you dofeel a little guilty cause there's too many racist and sexist jokes, but you can't help it, I woudn't hold myself even if I was payed athousand dollars, what makes me say that The Dictator is without adoubt, the funniest movie I've ever seen! It's also my 2nd favorite andmy 2nd favorite comedy movie, you just can't even believe how good itis. Cohen (Borat, Bruno, Ali G) is terrific, whether you believe me ornot I think he should get an Oscar (Nomination) cause his performancewas terrific and he made me laugh so hard. We also have greatperformances by the rest of the cast, like a solid and funnyperformance coming from Faris, a remarkable cameo with C. Reilly wherehe's able to show us a racist joke where you laugh very hard but you dofeel guilty..., and we also have Ben Kingsley, Megan Fox, Kathryn Hahnand some others. The story follows a bearded dictator, Aladeen (SBC),who's African country Wadiya is not that well treated by him, he sendseveryone that slightly disagrees or annoys him to be executed, hechanged more than 300 words to Aladeen and he always wins the Olimpycgames by... Now, because of his nuclear program, he is summoned by UNto go to America. In America, he's able to escape from a murder attemptand only suffers from a beard cut, which will make him unrecognizable. Now, he's in the middle of New York and nothing will stop him fromstopping democracy from going to his country; I just loved the script,it's brilliant.Overall, if you haven't watched The Dictator, than, well, don't waitanother second, The Dictator is a spoof too politics but it's also aperspective about the politics. I highly recommend it, it's a must seeand worth being watched in a theater. The helicopter scene isunforgettable, so as the labor scene, so as the first time ******* ******, Aladeen's beard, Zoey's arm pits, every scene is just incredibleand hilarious. I loved this movie and it brings 100% of entertainmentand laughs and you can't be watching one minute of The Dictator withoutlaughing out loud. The Dictator is (So Far) the best movie of the year,my 2nd favorite movie of all time, my 2nd favorite comedy movie butit's without a doubt the funniest movie I've ever seen. The Dictator isbrilliant and although it's racist and sexist, you just can't not enjoyit.Zoey: Can you please take your hands off my breasts? Aladeen: Those arebreasts? I thought you were a boy.
