Makes sense, ahead of its time for India though...It turned out to be pleasant surprise from Vicky Donor. The movieprovided the right perspective to look at sperm donation and itsimportance. Though the conservatives with frown at such issues, evenfrom the entertainment point of view, the movie provides everythingthat audience expects from a movie. Anu Kapoor is back with a bang withsome impressive performances by Ayushman and Yami. The punches are spoton in terms of timing as well as dialogs. Director has handled thePunjabi and Bengali subjects very well (no offense). Music has beenanother highlight of the movie with the song "Paani Da Rang" being themasterpiece. The movie stood tall in all aspects. Watch this movie fora Social message, Humor, Romance and Music. Overall, a MUST WATCH. |

A refreshing surprise! To people who would like to believe that this movie is vulgar, I wouldsuggest, go along with your kids! It's a refreshing surprise fromdirector Sircar, and is 2 hours 15 minutes of pure fun. Anu Kapoorstands out for his once in a lifetime portrayal of an infertilityspecialist. His props, clinic and the hand gesture (just loved it) arejust amazing! I am forced to wonder why is he not more visible onscreen! Ayushman is a complete natural as a punjabi boy. Not for onemoment would you even feel this is his debut in bollywood. Yami Gautamis gorgeous and appears very soothing to the eye. The moderngrandmother and mum have been excellently portrayed by the respectiveactors. This is perhaps first time in bollywood that you have asaas-bahu and daaru scene! Two characters that really stand outthroughout the movie are undoubtedly Dr Chaddhha and the grandmother! Amust watch for everyone |

An attitude-heavy romantic comedy dramaFilm: Vicky Donor Cast: Ayushmann Khurana, Yami Gautam, Annu kapoorDirector: Shoojit Sircar Rating: * * * out of 5 Six years after hisdebut film 'Yahaan' created minor tremors at the box-office and woncritics praise, ad filmmaker/ feature director Shoojit Sircar, who alsoburnt his fingers with the stalled Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Shoebite,'makes a comeback of sorts on the mainstream screens with thehyper-energetic, charismatically engineered, freshly cast,high-on-attitude film, 'Vicky Donor.' He also managed to pull off amiracle by getting John Abraham to co-produce it along with Eros. 'splot is threadbare but it's heart is in the right place. Vicky Arora(Ayushmann Khurana) is a typical Delhi lad who plays club cricket andlooks down on his Mamaji (maternal uncle)who owns a wholesale clothingstore. So when offered a job at the long-standing establishment, thislay-a-bout thumps his nose at it saying he prefers to stay unemployed. His mom , Dolly, who runs a beauty parlor in the ground floor of theirone story tenement, is not happy about her son's unemployed status buthis grandmother is far more supportive of his ambition less pursuits. His other pursuits involve flirting with attractive girls, includinghis next-door neighbor and several other young woman until his eyesalight on a stunning bank employee, a Bengali and a divorce to boot,Ashima Roy(Yami Gautam). If he has to make an impression on the gal, heneeds to find an occupation . Luckily for him, Dr Baldev Chaddha (AnnuKapoor), a well qualified fertility expert, who runs a fertility clinicand a sperm bank in Dariyaganj, New Delhi is already in hot pursuit ofhis sperm. Aryaputra Vicky, who till then has been quite vociferousabout spurning Dr Baldev's offer suddenly capitulates, agrees to bitethe bullet (without sufficient conviction), and scoop a bounty richenough to earn him several thousands along with expensive white-goodsgifts, enough to take his and his family's lifestyle to another levelaltogether. And no one is the wiser for it. Whenever queried(all toorarely to be believable), he fobs everyone off by calling himself ahandicrafts exporter (pun intended) . His mom and grandma just lap itall up and the seductive banker also becomes more than eager to tie theknot without ever checking on his credentials. So once the honeymoon isover, it becomes discovery time and a rift is foisted on the couple, bythe scenarists who prefer to structure even a hatke film like this intraditional tripe.. The rest of the film is devoted to convenientlysettling the manufactured dispute and getting the couple together in ahappily ever after. The concept from the writer Juhi Chaturvedi, is definitely hatke for amainstream venture and risqué too, considering that any mention ofbodily fluids has not really gone down well with the audiences, previously. Even the sensitively handled 'I am' with ne of it's storieshigh-lighting sperm-donation and infertility, found it difficult toattract audiences. Infertility and sperm donation is not a laughingmatter for most, neither is it something that is openly talked aboutwithin the privacy of our homes. So the issue had to be dealt with, insuch a manner that the audiences would not shy away from watching itwith an open mind. The calculated irreverence, loud attitudinaldisplays, innuendo-laced duologue's, and blasé humor which runs throughthe film, appears therefore to be calculated to make the audience feellike they are part of a joke-fest. The film is supposedly based on realanecdotes, sourced from Dr Aniruddha Malpani, who pioneered theestablishment of infertility clinics and sperm banks in India. Theplotting though is far too unimaginative and clichéd to be acceptable.Ashima is presented as an independent, free-thinking individual wholeaves her first husband on the very night of her wedding because heconfesses to a past love. Yet, the second time round, she falls plumbfor a guy who doesn't even reveal his true occupation, and then useshis past antecedents as a wedge to engineer a separation.Shoojit Sircar's film has more to tell about Punjabi and Bengalicultures than it has, in plot and story. The film is in effect amarvelous study of attitudes and manners, the clashes that take placebetween two cultures when they are threatened by youthful romance andtheir coming to terms with modern love and romance which in filmiparlance, triumphs, no matter what! I wouldn't call this film forwardthinking but it is educational in a back-handed sort of way and there'sno doubt that it has all the ingredients to be uninhibitedlyentertaining. The scenario may be faulty but the duologue's more thanmake-up for that lapse and the impressive performances by all the castmembers makes the effort doubly memorable."Vicky Donor" is a first in many ways. It marks John's foray intoproduction, it is VJ Ayushmann Khurrana's first film, Yami Gautam'sfirst Hindi film and music director duo Abhishek-Akshay's firstcredited music composition for a film. Despite these firsts, the filmplays out like a thespian effort. It has loads of attitude, acharmingly pointed dramatic clash of disparate cultures, a movie fullof charismatic, superbly poised performances including a brilliant AnnuKapoor, and a musically energised vibrant narrative that makes thislargely uneventful, weakly conceptualised rom-com-drama far more worthyof your patronage than the crass 'Housefull 2.' Go for it! |

A big surpriseWhen I saw the poster of the film I was shocked and thought that thiswill be a total farce and then I saw the theatrical trailer and thoughtit will be a good fun and yes it is a completely hatke film with aconcept very novel to Indian audiences. The film not only has a novel concept but the treatment is entirelybrilliant, this doesn't fall into the genre of the dumb romcoms we areused to seeing, The first half is superb, the entire Punjabi family is a treat,Ayushman's characterization is very superb and non filmy, The twist inthe tale is well handled and there are several hilarious scenes. Theinterval point is a nice shocker and then the Punjabi meets Bengaliconversations are superb too The film does get predictable but it'ssuperbly handled and few flaws are forgiven. The climax is unique andsuperb tooDirection by Shoojit Sircar is superb Music is a big hit already, RUMWHISKY is superb while Pani Da(composed by Ayushman and sung by himtoo) is superb too Dialogues bring the house downAyushman Khurana earlier seen as MTV VEEJAY and also acted in the spoofof CDI on MTV, and hosted several shows does a great job as Vicky Hisnatural Punjabi slang is a treat and he is flawless for his first film,A huge surprise Yami Gautam often seen in fair and lovely ads on smallscreen does a great job and looks beautiful Annu Kapoor is matchless inhis role, the talented actor makes you laugh till it hurts. DollyAhluwalia is a treat, Kamlesh Gill as Vicky's biji is supremelytalented Jayant Das as Ashima's father is superb too rest are goodBefore I end the review, One must acknowledge the contribution of JohnAbraham who decided to produce such an offbeat low cast film |

But soon their hunky dory world comescrashing down because of Vicky's past as a donor. With a briefemotional roller coaster ride, Vicky Donor is a light-hearted take onthe subject of sperm donation.I saw this movie yesterday and i think that Vicky Donor is a goodentertaining film.It is a one time watch movie. Just see and enjoy. |

A socially conscious filmWatch it for the comedy. For Delhi flavor. For a socially consciousmessage.A simple love story, with a strong social message. Brilliant acting byAnshuman, and Anu Kapoor. And every other actor is so well cast. Theold lady (Veer'ji?), Dolly (mom), even Shweta (Padosan ladki).... eachof the character is so full on Delhi flavor. One oddity: While the punjabis in the movie were shown in full flavor,I felt the Bongs were shown slightly bland (but we all know Bongs areanything but bland). And ironically the director himself is a Bong.Paani da song is a simple, yet very effective song. Great song to besung and composed by the actor himself.I don't know the background of actors, but I felt no one could havedone justice unless someone grew up in Delhi/Punjab/Haryana (like inanother such movie I loved: "Oye Lucky Lucky Oye"). I am prettypositive the actors were from the region. Smart dialogues, hilarioussituations, and finally a powerful social message to cap it off.So glad, movies on such off-topic are being made, and very clear fromIMDb review board that its being appreciated so well. Haven't met asingle person who didn't enjoy this movie. |

A good low budget movie..Vicky Arora (Ayushmann Khurana) is an aimless and jobless Delhi boy. Heis persuaded by Dr Baldev Chaddha (Annu Kapoor), an infertility clinicowner to become a sperm donor that could help childless couples. Aftermuch resistance, he finally agrees to the act to earn some easy money.Soon he makes a fortune out of his potent attribute. He also marriesthe love of his life Ashima (Yaami Gautam) but things take a drasticturn when she comes to know about his covert contributions to the spermbank.Vicky Donor comes with a fresh story. Call it a love story on thebackdrop of sperm donation or a film about sperm donation with a lovestory within - the writing by Juhi Chaturvedi seamlessly integrates thetwo elements to come up with a wholesome entertainer. Further directorShoojit Sircar flawlessly catches the pulse of Delhi and the drama inthe narrative. While the film lightly touches on the theme of the shortage of spermdonors and the social stigma attached to the act (unlike blood or organdonations), it intentionally refrains from being an issue-based cinema.Vicky's initial opposition to the idea aptly brings out the averageapprehensions and his consequent consent reveals the monetary motivesbehind the act.The love story between the lead pair that starts off on a flirtatiousnote but soon translates into an amiable affair, brings a sublime smileon your face throughout. The romance is refreshing and the chemistrybetween the couple is hot-n-happening. Soon the love affair of thecross-cultural couple gets into the 'Two States' zone. The film takesan unapologetic look at the culture characteristics (or call itclichés) of the Punjabi boy and Bengali girl and the divergent divideexpressed in the sequence of scenes that lead to their matrimony isabsolutely uproarious. But beyond having a splendid sense of humour, the film also has a verypoignant side to it. The fact that Vicky's fervent fertility isn't ofany productive use to himself is where the film defines a strongcontrasting conflict in the narrative. Since the couple's camaraderiewas so sizzling, you feel the pinch as they part ways. Further Sircarsuccessfully defines and distinguishes emotions, elucidating how thepoint of marital discord between the couple is not merely mistrust butinsecurity. The climax comes across as convenient though isn'tunconvincing. The pacing is fast and the multiple-montage crisp editing never letsyou lose the narrative. The dialogues vary from the quirky to the well-worded conversations and contribute immensely to the humour quotient. The music is peppy and goes smoothly with the flow of the film.Vicky Donor is what it is primarily for the livewire energy of Vickyplayed by Ayushmann Khurana. The actor is so natural that it neverseems he's acting but rather gliding through the role. He is a pro atboth the comedy and emotional scenes. Given the right roles, Ayushmannhas the potential to be the next big thing in Bollywood. Yaami Gautamis absolutely ravishing and captivates with her unending charm. Thebeauty also reflects in her performance. The supporting cast is blessedwith quirky yet relatable characterizations. Annu Kapoor as thedesperate doctor is brilliant and incites most laughs. Dolly Ahluwaliaas the hyperactive Punjabi mother is superlative and such a pleasantchange from the regular prototypes. Kamlesh Gill as the modern grandmawho shares a drink with her daughter-in-law and aspires for iphones andLED TVs is another fabulous characterization and a fantabulous actor.Jayanta Das as the girl's Bengali father is as much amusing. |

Vicky Donor : Clinging on to RealityA month ago when I first saw the trailer of Vicky Donor, I was outrightshocked - had the limit of vulgarity been crossed that Bollywood wasnow making movies on sperm donors!! Finally when I decided to see itpost hearing some rave reviews I had difficulty telling my folks that Iam going for a film like Vicky Donor - obviously a crude Punjabi sexcomedy.Except I couldn't have been more wrong and pleasantly surprised by whatmight just not be the best film this year but a landmark film ingeneral. Just about everything in the film was not just good it wasdamn perfect. So, as the story goes Vicky Arora (Anshuman Khurana) is your averagePunjabi Delhi boy (a character type way too visible in almost everynext film these days) His paths cross with a desperate Dr. Chaddha(Annu Kapoor) – a fertility specialist who is obsessed with goodquality sperm. Dr. Chaddha's clinic is under threat as most of thesperms in his sperm bank are not up to the mark and can't deliver the"goods".The first half of the film is primarily driven by Dr. Chaddha trying toconvince Vicky to become a paid donor as his sperms result showcase himas having the highest fertility and motility rates. At the same time,Vicky is also trying to woo a hot Bengali banker Ashima in his typicalDelhi Punjabi Boy style. There are also other interesting characterslike Vicky's mother Dolly who runs a beauty parlour and Ashima'sEnglish speaking stereotypical "bong" father. It is unsaid there are three things that work flawlessly for the film –the first is the screen writing. From the story to the dialogues to theway this difficult topic is laid out – it is an almost perfect script.Juhi Chaturvedi the writer has to be for Vicky Donor what Amit Trivediwas to Dev D. Without her writing this would never have been the filmit turns out. It would have been tempting to convert this story into along series of sex jokes what with the central topic being sperm. As amatter of fact, in the hands of commercialized Bolllywood it would havebecome just that (one can imagine a Sajid khan overfilling it with sexjokes and laughing himself the loudest)Except that the screenplay just does not allow that. There is hardly ajoke in the film which would qualify as toiler humor – a masterstrokeas it not only makes the story credible but also allows it to have asmart social message. The credit goes to the dialogues and situations. From the Bengali – North Indian wedding which was so apt (since Imyself underwent one recently) to the second half where theprotagonists face a personal challenge - the script is plainbrilliant!! The second point which stands out and practically runs Vicky donor arethe performances. Annu Kapoor has always been an exceptional actor fromhis Tezaab days but in Vicky Donor he is touching a new high. You knowhe hits home when one ends up understanding his frustration of tryingto explain to people that sperm donation is not a dirty profession butthe need of the hour almost like a social service. The other standoutperformance is of Anshuman Khurana as Vicky. The cheesy oneliners heuses to woo Ashima would have been PJs in the hands of any other actorbut Anshuman delivers them with the perfect tilt of head. Not tomention his well handled moments of poignancy in the second half of thefilm.Again Dolly Ahluwalia as the cribbing mom and Kamlesh Gill as her supercool mom in law / Vicky's grandmother stand out. One actually looksforward to their scenes in the films. In one particular scene - 50 yr +traditionally clad mother and mom in law are having their daily drinks– in the midst of it all - the mother in law gets emotional about Dollynot getting any dowry. This hilarious and continuous check on realitymakes this film a pleasure to watch. The third point that stands out is the editing - at exactly 2 hours,Vicky Donor makes for an enjoyable 120 minutes, no time is wasted onanything which does not add value to the script. Even a romanticevening out for the couple ends in a revelation which is that check ofreality the film keeps subtlety bringing about. The slice of life comedy with an emotional social message genre hasseen the Munnabhai movies and 3 idiots as the best entries so far.Vicky Donor is a wonderful addition to this genre and makes it all themore relevant and believable.Overall, I would recommend this film to anyone who likes to watchentertaining cinema and yet not leave their brains at home. So do goout watch this film and don't forget to tell your parents that you aregoing for Vicky Donor – a comedy about sperm donation. |

KudosAnything Delhi works these days.New Movie Destination Delhi and there exactly is where Vicky livesSircar does it again, but succeeds this time.Anshumann Khurrana with one extra r and an extra n was good, its niceto see such talent evolve Yamini Gautam a fresh face for the Art house,we expect her to feature in some item number in some crappy Yash RajMovie sometime Now the plot: Good, Sircar is a man of literature hedoes well handling it, story was good enough to save your ticket money.I liked the movie, but didn't have the X factor to go the distance, tobe a big movie, you need a huge star to earn that status! 6.4/10 |

Meaning full yet entertainingYou'll laugh in first half and in second half you'll feel it as simpleas that. You like cinema with a soul you should watch it. You think your open minded you should watch it. You think its a stupid subject youshould watch it. You need laughter you should watch the first half. Youare a punjabi you should watch it.Sometimes we think we can laugh off the things like that but this titleshow you there is little bit more in the back end, no one is good orbad every thing is related to situation and how you stand up to it, Ithink this title will show you exactly the same thing. Go deny thethings but in your heart if u think its OK then you stand up to it foryour whole life.Just with open mind and you'll get tears while laughing. My first review i guess you like it :) |

Donate Some Time To Vicky Donor - Worth It :)Very Recently I had an argument with a friend when i asked him that outof the two movies released this Friday which would be given preferencebu him. He said and I'd quote that "(It's a)disgrace that people canactually watch this".No offence but Vicky Donor would be like a slap on the face for suchpeople. It is fresh, entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable.Starring Ayushmann Khurrana as the Punjabi munda Vicky who doesn't havea job of his own and is constantly nagged by his mother played by DollyAlluwalia. His grandma, on the other hand as Vicky himself says prettymodern and very supportive. All's not well for him until Dr.BaldevChadda played by Annu Kapoor finds out that Vicky can be an excellentsperm donor. Midway he falls in love with Ashima Roy(Yami Gautam) andthe story carries on further. The interesting part about Vicky Donor is that although the filmpreaches the topic of sperm donation at no point does the film usesvulgarity or cheap humour to carry it along. The music is very catchy at the least and songs like 'Paani da' and'Rum whisky' really help to keep up the tempo of the movie. The screenplay by Juhi Chaturvedi is apt and even the 2 hr 15 mindoesn't seem too long.Yes the dialogues are a bit repetitive, the story a bit sluggish inparts but the good acting performances by the entire cast hide thenegatives more or less. Annu Kapoor, Dolly and her mother-in-lawimpress in particular. Ayushmann has very good screen presence and Yamilooks superb. It's a definite thumbs up from my side for Shoojit Sircar's VickyDonor. You should not give this a miss if possible.3/5 |

shafiq ul hasan siddiqui (2013-05-13 08:42:48) |
A nice movie! With the passage of time audience have seen that the cinema haschanged. I would call it a 360 degree change. There were times whenaction flicks used to be the talk of the town. There used to be anangry young man beating up the goons either for the sake of vengeanceor for proving his macho character. Then there were times when lovestories were liked by budding lovers and college sweet-hearts, thosemovies used to have some great music compositions which were instantlyliked and loved by the listeners (of that time). Now weird (for somepeople) and interesting (for other viewers) movies are made. At somecircles slapstick comedies are encouraged and on the other hand peopleare also appreciating thought provoking cinema. This particular movie,"Vicky Donor" is a combination of both. The movie might not get success, on the basis of its topic, screenplayand concept, if it would have been released in 90's or even in 2000's.Audience is much more ready to accept things nowadays. The movie istale of a Punjabi boy named Vicky Arora (Ayushman) whose greatgrandfather had 19 children. This story also revolves around a (not sosuccessful) middle aged Doctor Baldev Chadda (Annu Kapoor) whospecializes in infertility operations and he runs a fertility clinicand looking for a sperm donor. Last but not the least, this movie alsorevolves around the love of a Punjabi guy with a Bengali girl AshimaRoy (Yaami Gautam) and their trust and understanding. The theme of the movie is really interesting yet controversial, forsome. Dr. Chadda convinces Vicky to donate his sperm so that he cangive happiness to those parents who are not blessed with theirbiological kids. For this he quotes some factual yet hilarious examplesto Vicky, regarding Mahabhaarat's time. Finally Dr. Chadda convincesVicky and he starts to donate sperms. The sequence between Annu Kapoor(as Dr. Chadda) and Ayushmaan (as Vicky) are amazingly hilarious andhere definitely Annu Kapoor being a veteran actor takes the audience tothe heights of laughter. It is not easy to share the screen with AnnuKapoor but Ayushmaan makes his presence noticed strongly. They bothcomplement each other in almost every scene be it be dramatic or funny. Those who know the roles portrayed by Annu Kapoor in his career willnever doubt that he has a caliber that is not shared by many actors. Beit his "Gali Gali Chor hai" or "7 Khoon Maaf" both roles portrays hugecontrast. For those who really want to see his amazing performance mustwatch "Ek Ruka hua faisla" (21 years old young Annu Kapoor portraying a59 years old lawyer). On the other hand (débutant) Ayushman is also full of surprises. Heperforms extremely nice as a funky, easy going and smart ass boy at oneplace, whereas he astonishes audience in climax (I don't want to spoilthe experience – watch it yourself). Be it a serious thing or comicalthe young talent has the potential to get noticed. Yaami Gautam is awell known name of Indian TV Channels but she debuts in this movie andguys will love her charms and sweetness. She does not portray an "Oh SoSexy" role but even then am sure guys will smile after watching her andnoticing her simplicity. She can go a long way provided she choosesright roles. There are other characters that shine in this movie, including, Vicky'smom (Dolly Ahluwalia) and grand mom (Kamlesh Gill). Jayanta Das,portraying the father of Yaami Gautam, excels brilliantly. On the whole, John Abraham has managed to produce a great piece offunny and witty cinema. The movie shares a nice plot line, if we cansave a dying man by donating our blood, why can't we grant our spermsto grant a whole life to someone who does not even exists in the world. The good things about this movie are that it has freshness, good humor, some great performances and a nice handling. Only drawback – it lacksstar power (which these days is a must for many movie goers).Music is average, dialogues are hilarious and direction is promising. |

A good film with good motives deserve good appreciation ..!!!There are several movies on several different topics, but is there anymovie about sperm donation and infertility ? I did not remember thereare any, If there is then I had not seen or that was not much famous.Yes, Vicky Donor have theme of drama, comedy, openness, emotion, infertility and mainly sperm donation. In India, There are very little who have interest of sperm donation, but after watching Vicky Donor there would be so many who wants todonate their sperm. This movie also provide awareness so it is amultipurpose 'masala' comedy film.Vicky Arrora is a middle class Punjabi boy, who live with his motherand grandmother, he is a cool dude without any stress and he is alsoirresponsible, he works in beauty parlor of her mother, he neither wentto bank one time in life. Dr. Baldev Chadda, infirmity specialist, convinced Vicky to donate sperm after several try. Meanwhile Vickymeets a Bengali girl Ashima Roy in a bank, he falls in love with her.Later, after several flirts of Vicky, Ashima also falls in love withVicky. Ashima told him that she is divorcée, but it was no problem toVicky. Both of them convinced their family for marriage. After marriageAshima came to know that she can not become mother. From now movie gottragedy and become emotional. At end, I think I also got a couple ofdrops of tears. :)The character of Dr. Chadda and Vicky is very much appreciated, both ofthem made a good chemistry and comedy. Dialogs are very good as theyare in Punjabi and Hindi. Song "Pani Ka rang" is beautiful.Cinematography and editing are as usual normal. But movie had managedto bind you till end successfully. Overall movie is well balanced andbecame successful to show it's all motives. A good film with goodmotives always appreciated..!!! |

STAND BACK ROMANCE AND COMEDIES. We have combined all of them into a sperm donor flick.VICKY DONOR is a film directed by Shoojit Sircar starring AyushmannKhurrana, Annu Kapoor, & Yami Gautam. The film revolves Vicky Arora (Ayushmann Khurrana), who lives with hismom and grandmother, above their saloon. Dr. Chadda (Annu Kapoor) is aninfertility doctor who gets a lot of business but fails at providinghis clients the right sperm. One day he comes across Vicky and realizeshe has the perfect sperm due to his family background. Finally, aftercontinuously pestering him, Vicky gives in into Dr. Chadda's ways anddecides to donate his sperm... and it turns out to work well with Dr.Chadda's clients. Due to the money he gets, Vicky decides to donateeven further. One day, at the bank, he meets Ashima (Yami Gautam), whohe instantly likes. They start dating and fall instantly in love. Oneday they decide to marry each other... and that sort of forms the restof the film. Whether she will find out and what will happen. When I heard of this film, Im going to be completely honest, I wasn'tthe slightest bit excited. I knew it was going to be a complete flopwhen I saw the trailer. When the movie came into cinemas I didn't eventhink of watching it. But some of my relatives told me a few days laterto go watch it and that it would be the best decision I would make. SoI was pretty shocked that this movie could be so good so I went to seeit. And Im so so so glad I went for it. This movie is the biggest shockI have had so far from the movie industry. IT WAS GREAT! Now I knowfrom the synopsis it sounds totally R rated. Don't worry. 10+ years oldcan see it. It doesn't show any nudity, it just talks vaguely about it.The movie is about a sperm donor but it just tips the topic lightly. The replay value is a BILLION times. Never gets boring. The acting... WOW. Ayushmann Khurrana, CONGRATULATIONS, you aresuccessfully one of my favorite actors in Bollywood. His acting wasmarvelous. Enough said. Yami Gautam was pretty good as well. AnnuKapoor, I haven't seen any of his old films but he was really great inthis one.The songs are, ALRIGHT. I liked 'Pani Da Rang' by Ayushmann Khurranaand I liked 'Rum & Whisky' played in the end with John Abraham.Overall, this is such a great film. BIG BIG BIG surprise and wow, youshould totally see it. The film does drop down a bit in the second halfbut it holds the laughs, just increases the seriousness although Itotally recommend it. |

A must watch film especially for the youth.COMEDY - LOVE - EMOTION - DRAMA - SOCIAL ISSUEThe cast of the movie is really good which completes the overallexperience. The first part is funny while the second part is bit of anemotional. The newcomer Ayushmann Khurana has done a commendable job. Alreadyfamous among the youth, his character connects with the youngergeneraation and is a treat to watch.Anu Kapoor and Yami Gautam have done a great job. You may find yourselfyet again in the character Yami plays. The overall experience was great. It's a must watch. |
